Finishing school is an exciting milestone, but it can also bring a lot of questions.
What comes next? Should I look for work? What supports are available? How do I build my confidence?
At Barossa Enterprises, we understand that every person's journey is different. Whether you're ready to start looking for work, want to gain work experience, or simply need support to explore your options, we're here to help you take the next step with confidence.

Your Journey. Your Goals. Your Future.
Leaving school doesn't mean you have to have everything figured out straight away.
Our employment supports are designed to help young people living with disability transition successfully from school into employment. We work alongside you, your family, school and support network to develop a pathway that reflects your interests, strengths and future goals.
Everyone has something valuable to offer—and our role is to help you discover where your strengths can take you.
Building Skills for Employment
Starting your first job can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to do it alone.
We'll support you to develop the practical skills employers are looking for while building the confidence to succeed in the workplace.
Support may include:
Identifying your strengths, interests and career goals
Exploring different industries and employment opportunities
Developing workplace communication and social skills
Building confidence and independence
Creating a resume and preparing for interviews
Learning workplace expectations and routines
Travel training and developing independent transport skills
Assistance with job searching and applications
Every support is personalised because no two employment journeys are the same.
Real Work Experience Matters
One of the best ways to prepare for employment is by gaining real-world experience.
We work closely with local businesses across the Barossa and surrounding area to create work experience opportunities that match your interests and goals.
Work experience gives you the opportunity to:
Try different types of work
Learn new skills
Build confidence in a workplace
Meet employers
Strengthen your resume
Discover what you enjoy doing
Many participants have gone on to secure paid employment after completing work experience placements.
Support Every Step of the Way
Finding a job is only the beginning.
Once you've started employment, we'll continue supporting you as you settle into your new role.
This may include:
Learning new workplace tasks
Building confidence in your role
Developing communication with supervisors and colleagues
Problem-solving workplace challenges
Supporting you to maintain long-term employment
Building independence over time
Our goal is to help you not only find a job—but keep it, succeed in it and build a rewarding future. We're here to support you even after you have started your job for as long as you need us.
Thinking About Self-Employment?
Employment doesn't always look the same for everyone.
If you have a business idea or a special interest you'd like to turn into work, we can also support pathways into self-employment or microenterprise where appropriate. Together we'll explore opportunities that suit your skills and aspirations.
Working Together with Families and Schools
Transitioning from school is a significant step, and we know that families play an important role in the journey.
We work collaboratively with:
Students
Parents and carers
Schools
Teachers
NDIS Support Coordinators
Local Area Coordinators (LACs)
Employers
By working together, we can create a pathway that supports a successful transition into employment and greater independence.
