Barossa Youth Options is celebrating the achievements of a remarkable group of young people who have successfully completed The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award (Australia), with Bronze and Silver medallions and certificates recently presented in recognition of their dedication and perseverance.

The awards acknowledge months of commitment, personal growth and achievement as participants worked through the internationally recognised youth development program. The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award (Australia) encourages young people to step outside their comfort zones, develop new skills, improve their physical wellbeing, contribute to their communities through volunteering, and undertake adventurous journeys.
Through these experiences, participants build confidence, resilience and leadership skills while gaining valuable life experience that supports their future education, employment and personal development.

Barossa Youth Options is proud to deliver the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award framework, providing local young people with opportunities to challenge themselves, set meaningful goals and reach their full potential. Participants also have the opportunity to earn South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) credits through their involvement, further enhancing their educational pathways.
The recent presentation ceremony recognised the outstanding efforts of participants who demonstrated determination and commitment throughout their Award journey. Their achievements reflect not only the successful completion of program requirements but also the development of skills and qualities that will continue to benefit them well into the future.
Barossa Youth Options would like to congratulate all Bronze and Silver Award recipients on this significant milestone and applaud their hard work, resilience and dedication.
“These young people have shown exceptional commitment to their personal growth and development,” Denita Donovan, Barossa Youth Options facilitator said. “We are incredibly proud of what they have achieved and look forward to seeing the positive impact these experiences will have on their futures.”

The achievements of the recipients serve as a testament to the value of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award in empowering young people to build confidence, broaden their horizons and make meaningful contributions to their communities.
