Group Activities &
Community Engagement

Daily Activities
At Barossa Home & Community Options, our Daily Activities and group programs help people stay connected, build confidence, develop life skills, and enjoy meaningful experiences with friends and community. We deliver flexible, engaging programs built around common interests, goals, and strengths. Whether it’s creative activities, cooking, recreation, community outings, or skill-building, our focus is on building opportunities for independence, friendship, and personal growth in a safe and supportive environment. Participants can explore a wide range of activities both on site and within the community. These including art programs, cooking classes, sporting activities, exercise classes and interactive social outings designed to keep bodies healthy and minds engaged. Our programs are practical and hands-on. For example, cooking sessions help participants build confidence in meal preparation and kitchen safety supporting a person’s daily living skills, while creative programs encourage self-expression, celebrate individual strengths and provide insight into transferrable skills that can even support a small business or a job. Our participants build lasting friendships, build social skills, and develop greater independence. We believe meaningful support is about more than keeping busy; it’s about having purpose, feeling connected, valued, and being part of a welcoming community. Success for our Daily Activities is seeing people try new things, build confidence, and enjoy their everyday life.
Barossa Youth Options

Barossa Home & Community Options has partnered with The Duke of Edinburgh International Award (Australia) to deliver Barossa Youth Options. The Duke of Edinburgh International Award (Australia) framework will be delivered as part of the Barossa Youth Options program. It has been developed to offer activities that promote independence, build capacity, encourage social connections and help support the physical and psychological wellbeing of participants. The 6-month program, for individuals aged 14-24, partners with The Duke of Edinburgh International Award, offering participants the chance to earn an internationally recognized award, develop life skills, build connections, and enhance job opportunities. For school students, it can also contribute towards the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE).
